some kind of sub tropical storm blew thru town
it uprooted pubs , dignity and common sense
innocent bystanders watch with a mixture of amazement and delight
as the tempest went from loud but docile to downright maniacal
a long drought was broken
snapped off in fact
people hustled for protection
and cars were blown down the grey st kilda streets
alarms and buzzers went off at ungodly hours
a man was seen with his wellies on
it was sure to be a brief storm
the far edge could be seen even from near
body art was flung about the shop
and settled by the by
a few minor gales rippled the calm AFTER the storm
i shall huff and puff and blow your house down
can a storm have good intentions?
