he got away with it on a technicality
not because he was innocent
but on a procedural point
the richest organisation in the world
with a spectacular history of protecting thousands child abusers the world over
(and causing misery and suffering for hundreds of millions)
by the hand of a court which was tilted
by politically inspired appointments of fellow religious filth travellers in australian politics
with appointments which were sympathetic to their backwards, hateful and descredited world view
such open sympathizers included former australian prime minister
and many other conservative establishment figures with enormous power
in the stinking corrupt medieval backwater shit swamp of terra australis
money and power 'trump' justice
and those scum in power will do ANYTHING they can get away with to protect what they have and their own, regardless of how despicable they are.
